The Sarasota County Charter Review Board consists of two members for each of the five (5) districts in Sarasota County.  The members are elected to serve a four (4) year term and the member terms are staggered every two (2) years.  The purpose of Charter Review is to review and recommend changes on behalf of the citizens of Sarasota County for improvement of County government.  Such recommendations when approved by two-thirds (2/3) of the Charter Review members will qualify for amendments to the County Charter to be voted on by citizen referendum at an upcoming election.
